Juan Homs Valentí created a company devoted to the trade of spare parts for the industry and the automotive sector.
The second generation specialises in power transmission, bearings and hydraulics, driving the internationalisation of the company and training the third generation that today continues with the business. All this knowledge and experience acquired over these nearly 100 years is one of the greatest assets that Translink has today.
After several years working on power transmission at an international level, the Translink brand was founded with the first power transmission products: the transmission chain and the sprockets. On 14 February 2001, Translink was registered as a trademark on the Register of European Community trademarks. Within the same year of registration, Translink sprockets and chain are already sold in Europe and America, and the first importers at international level are established.
The range of Translink power transmission products was extended with pulleys and couplings, and a new bearing and pillow block division was added. Manufactured references were still limited to the most common parts (ball and roller bearing series, UCP, UCF, UCFL, UCT pillow blocks in cast-iron housing).
Translink now included in its range of power transmission products those which we offer today (chain, pulleys, belts, sprockets and couplings), and introduced stainless steel bearings and stainless steel and plastic pillow blocks in the market. ISO 9001 quality certification its achieved.
The brand was now marketing its products in 38 countries on four continents, and works with more than 30 distributors at an international level.
Translink entered the hydraulic power transmission market and started to supply hydraulic hoses. At the same time it extended its range of bearings, and included rod ends and needle bearings.
Due to the excellent response to Translink hydraulic products, the range of product was extended to hydraulic connections, piping, industrial hoses, pumps and hydraulic distributors. Translink is now present in 50 countries and has a network of more than 80 distributors for all its product ranges.
